I feel as though I am able to finally figure out a way of working that I enjoy.  It wasn’t until I worked on Inktober did I begin to experiment and analyze what I liked about my work and how to expand upon it.  This piece, which I call Galactica, is sort of an ode to both these findings and what had started my love for drawing in the first place. As a kid, I used to read an abundance of books and comics, specifically Japanese manga. I read a lot of Shojo and Shonen. Though the novels pushed my love for written stories, manga pushed my love for ways to visually tell a story.

Also I want to start showing more of my process on my blog so I decided to show the original sketch I did when I had the idea as well as the final layout drawing and color composition sketch I did before I began to move to final with this piece.
